Previous Deputy CIO at Amundi, Alain Pitous is appointed Deputy Chief Executive, whilst Jean-François Arnaud, Midcap Fund Manager with CamGestion (BNP Paribas), will be in charge of a euro-zone midcap fund.
After taking on four new Private Bankers last year, the recently created entrepreneurial Asset Management “Talence Gestion” takes another step in its progression with the arrival of two new associate partners : Alain Pitous from Amundi, and Jean-François Arnaud from CamGestion. « Alain Pitous and Jean-François Arnaud’s long experience within major financial groups will enable us to improve Talence Gestion’s offer. Since joining Société Générale Asset Management (SGAM) in 1988 merge within Amundi in 2009, Alain Pitous held numerous positions with increasing levels of responsibility. His most recent positions were member of the Executive Committee of Amundi Asset Management (since 2009), Global Head of the Multi-Asset business line (since 2011) in charge of managing the Amundi Patrimoine fund (since 2012). He headed a team of over a hundred fund managers across Europe and Asia, managing globally around 800 billion €.
Alain Pitous will strengthen Talence Gestion’s management team. He will also have the specific mission of optimizing and promoting Talence Gestion’s funds and services. Jean-François Arnaud, who was an Equity Fund Manager with CamGestion (group BNP Paribas) since 2005 in charge of several mid-cap euro-zone funds, has 25 years of experience in this market. He will bring his expertise to Talence Gestion’s asset management team and thus enrich their know-how. He will be managing Talence Gestion’s new fund, Talence Euromidcap, that will be launched on the 29th August.
With two complementary activities: portfolio management for retail clients and fund management, Talence Gestion manages 350 million €. « Our recent distribution partnership with Legal & General, followed by these recruitments and others to come, form part of our strategy that aims to build a respected name in the asset management world » says Didier Demeestère.
